Vishka Asayesh joins ‘Grave Digger’

Vishka Asayesh has joined the cast of director Kazem Mollaei’s latest film ‘Grave Digger’.

The talented actress from ‘The Good, the Bad, the Corny’ is the first cast member to join Mollaei’s flick.

Produced by Sina Saeedian, the film which was recently granted a production license is currently in the final phase of pre-production with filming set to begin in the near future, according to a press release.

The flick will be Mollaei’s second following his award-winning film ‘Kupal’ which appeared frequently at international film festivals.

Vishka Asayesh will be making her first appearance before the camera in 2019 for her role in ‘Grave Digger’.

Following her performance in the 1992 hit series ‘Imam Ali (AS)’, Asayesh became a household name and began appearing regularly in Iranian films and series.

Her award-winning performance in the 2010 film ‘No Men Allowed’ earned her the Fajr Film Festival’s Best Actress in a Leading role award in 2011.

‘Stairway to Heaven’, ‘The Recluse’, and ‘A Passenger to Rey’ are among the other TV series that Asayesh has starred in.

‘Grave Digger’ is expected to premiere at the 38th annual Fajr Film Festival in February 2020.
